Sharing Our Expertise

We have recently been approach by two renowned organisations to help deliver BPM messaging to their member base; The B.I.T.S Foundation is a forum of senior IT & IS professional’s predominantly from the pharmaceutical industry who share experiences and best practice for the adoption of IT. Their founder has asked for a BPM focused workshop to be delivered to their next Meeting. The National Computing Centre is one of the premier sources of expertise and best practice across the private and public sector for all technology initiatives. Their Member Advisor Board (M.A.B) has asked Ian Grant to present at its next meeting; the topic is Why and How to do BPM in the current economic climate.

B.I.T.S Foundation – Ian Grant and Don Triano (Procensol Consulting) have developed a workshop aimed at senior technologists. The workshop will be delivered to the BITS meeting on 8th July and is designed to prompt debate and raise awareness about the advantages available through the strategic adoption of BPM.

The National Computing Council – Ian Grant will deliver a presentation to the M.A.B on 15th July to argue the case for the strategic adoption of BPM during the current economic downturn, with emphasis on why and how to deliver successful BPM initiatives.

Widening Our Network

At SSBPM we are always looking for new ways to develop our range of skills and knowledge. Therefore we look for like minded individuals or organisations to can provide mutual benefit to the SSBPM network and its clients. We have had recent discussions with a number of organisations recently including BPMS vendors and BPM technical implementation experts. There is real opportunity for the network with these new contributors, please watch the News Articles for more information in the coming weeks and months.

Speaking of widening networks we are please to announce that Ian Grant is now the sole BPM Associate Consultant for the National Computing Centre (NCC).

Project & Change Management

The single most common cause for a BPM project to fail is Change Control Management. So often the impact of BPM upon people is overlooked. Simple and effective Key-Stakeholder management that includes all level of people in the organisation is key to acceptance of BPM.

Our new consultant has recently implemented a very successful and significant BPM solution within the healthcare environment, and personally committed and delivered on full stake-holder management; involving all staff directly effected by the many business process changes. This consultant is a member of the Charted Management Institute and with 20 years of senior management experience.

Our new Flash website is ready and launched. It includes a variety of resources, but more will be added over the coming months including a BPM Blog.

We hope you like the new site; it’s designed to be easy to use and navigate around and will be the focus of our BPM and Change Management Community.

News from our Founder

We are pleased to be able to tell you that our founder, Ian Grant will now be available to us full-time. Ian has been a successful senior and strategic IT professional for a number of years and is a published BPM champion who has specialised in delivering innovative and best-fit-to-business solutions. He attended the world’s largest BPM event of 2009 as a guest speaker and delivered his usual brand of BPM evangelism. With the key message of: anything is possible, and let the business dictate what the technology does!
